An Associate NCC Officer (ANO) is an important link in the NCC organization between the Battalion/Unit and the Cadets. Colleges have NCC troops/platoons/companies which are under the command of an Assistant Professor, who has got formal NCC training at Officers’ Training Academy, Kamptee for male and Officers’ Training Academy, Gwalior for female. They bridge the gap between the institution and the NCC organization, overseeing cadet training, drills, activities, and discipline. As a matter of fact, ANO is the feeder node of NCC since he/she is the one who is in direct contact with the cadets all throughout the year.

Lt. (Dr.) Kavita is the ANO at RPS Degree College who directly manages cadets on campus, conducting drills, physical training, and classroom instruction at the institutional level. She mentors cadets in leadership, discipline, and values, and actively oversees various national camps and community services.
