Benefits Of NCC

The NCC cadets are directly associated with the Ministry of Defence and work along the armed forces. NCC provides an opportunity to know the various cultures by conducting Cultural Exchange Programmes.


  • NCC cadets scoring 50% aggregate marks in Graduation and bearing NCC ‘C’ certificate with ‘A’ or ‘B’ grade are exempted from the CDS written examination and are called directly for SSB interview. They have to pass out the interview and physical fitness for Short Service Commission (NCC special entry scheme).
  • NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate holders get incentives of Marks in different exams conducted by Indian Military Services.
  • NCC trained cadets are given priority in the recruitments in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Force and state police services etc.
  • State Governments, Central Governments, Corporate and Industrial sectors provide opportunities and give priority to NCC trained students.
  • Weightage in Marks is given to the NCC ‘C’ or ‘B’ certificate holders in the admissions of PG courses offered by Colleges, Universities, NITs and IITs etc.
